Craigers says what up yall
Yo, what up ya'll,
Thanks for the e-mail Piers. Things have been
interesting up here as expected. Let everyone at the
house read this.
First of all, I got an Ommaya Reservior implated into
my head for easier treatments into my spinal fluid.
The procedure included minor brain surgery that
inserted a catheter down into the right ventrical of
my brain where the CSF (Cerebral Spinal Fluid) is
actually created. The actual reservior is a small
(althought bigger than I thought) bump on my head,
covered by skin, that makes it very easy to tap into
with a small butterfly needle (the same one you get
blood drawn with) into the reservior and draw spinal
fluid and inject chemo. Pretty fucking amazing hugh.
No more spinal taps and taking fluid or giving chemo
only takes about 30 seconds. This will make the rest
of my treatment easier for everyone and more
effective.
Besides that, which happened last Tuesday, I have been
recieving chemotherepy treatments for the first phase
my new protocol which will be over already on the
22nd. The end of the intense protocol will end in
mid-June. It will be rough but I can and am doing it
well.
The best news is that my spinal fluid is totally clear
and is confirmed clear and in remission for the last
month. No Leukemia is detectable. So the treatment
must go on and I will fucking come out of this ok.
I feel pretty different everyday and this is a crazy
experience but right now I am turning everything
around and getting into exercise, nutrition, mental
positivity, and just taking control of the situation
that had control of me for a while. Talk soon to you
guys on the phone.
Craig.
